The molecules that make up the scents of spearmint and caraway are identical, but with opposite orientation. They are mirror images of the chemical carvone. Mint is oriented to the left, caraway to the right.
John Cleese and Terry Gilliam met while appearing in a West End production of the musical Half a Sixpence, starring Tommy Steele. It was in the same production that Cleese met his future wife Connie Booth. The book for Half a Sixpence was written by Beverley Cross, later married to Maggie Smith.
Glance at the TV, recognize the grey haired gentleman on SVU as Michael Siberry, having seen him in The Woman in Black in the West End more than thirty years ago!
